Making Products More Sustainable

"Food is a peace industry." - Momofuku Ando

Nissin USA is purchasing 100% mass balance, certified sustainable palm oil for all the products we make and we’re the first major manufacturer in our category to do so.

Like you, we want to make sure the products we buy are sourced ethically and sustainably. We would never condone inhumane working conditions and we do not tolerate human trafficking or slavery in any form. Since 2012, we have had robust policies in place to ensure that all our suppliers comply with laws regarding slavery and human trafficking in all countries in which they are conducting business. We perform regular audits to ensure our suppliers meet our stringent Supplier Code of Conduct that protects workers both in this country and abroad. Our purchasing agreements with direct suppliers demand accountability globally. Our suppliers must certify that all materials incorporated into our products comply with the laws regarding slavery and human trafficking at home and all countries in which they do business.

Additionally, since we joined the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil in 2013, we only purchase palm oil from fellow RSPO members. This means all our palm oil suppliers are RSPO-certified, must adhere to principles and policies ranging from deforestation to ethical treatment of workers, and must comply with unannounced factory inspections, which we conduct through an independent third-party. Nissin Foods USA is committed to universal human rights and this is reflected in our everyday business practices and our commitment to the RSPO.
