In a medium pot, stir together 2 tbsp pesto and water. Add ramen block to pot and bring to a boil over medium heat.
Cook until noodles are al dente and liquid is reduced and silky, no more than 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in remaining 3 tbsp of pesto until combined.
Top with parmesan cheese before serving, if desired.
